Lisa Greenbaum is the creative force behind Greenbaum Clothing Co., a Toronto-based
women's line for urban professionals. Growing up a dancer, her love of fashion
began with her sewing her own costumes for competitions and recitals. Soon Lisa
was designing clothes for herself as well as her peers, and what began as a hobby
later evolved into a full fledged career. After graduating from The University of
Western Ontario with an Honours BA in English, Lisa went on to study Fashion Management
at George Brown College. There she acquired a better understanding of the business
side of the fashion industry and reignited her passion for design. Following graduation
in 2001, she immediately started work on her first collection. Greenbaum Clothing
Co. maintains an aesthetic signature that fuses a streetwear edge with feminine
detailing suited to the fashion-savvy creative professional. Versatile, wearable
and easy to care for, the Greenbaum line consistently reflects the "urban simplicity"
to which its discerning clientele is drawn. Lisa has also never given up her love
of dancing and currently splits her time as a fitness instructor with Goodlife Fitness
teaching BodyJam and BodyFlow. This has since inspired her to launch a second collection
of Activewear. Just released to the public this collection will not be available
in stores!
